Boaz Weinfeld joins HIL as Director of Development

Boaz is a seasoned physicist and technology leader, with experience in both established companies and startup environments.
Prior to joining HIL he was the CTO and Head of R&D of Novatrans, where he led the development of the company’s Terahertz vacuum device and spectroscopy system.
Before that he spent the bulk of his career at Intel, serving for over sixteen years in various management and technology leadership positions. Among other things Boaz led teams of engineers at an Intel’s Jerusalem manufacturing site, teams of physical designers and circuit designers at the Intel Design Center, the MEMS and Silicon Photonics R&D group, and the Flash Memory Group. He spent one year in Santa-Clara, California, developing new Flash technology and one year in Numonyx – an Intel spin-off in Qiryat-Gat, Israel.
Boaz holds B.Sc in Physics and Mathematics, and M.Sc in Physics – both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and EMBA from the Leon Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration at Tel-Aviv University.
